The tree removal is actually completed by Davey Tree Expert back in March 19, 2013. But the snow hasn’t completely melted at the site and I wasn’t able to get a clear photo of what is looks like. Now that there has been a week of days where temperature is above freezing, the snow and ice finally have all disappeared. So I took a few shot of what the site looks like after the stump is removed.
Finally the back yard is nearly completely open. The smaller tree’s stumps are still there, and I was hoping that they can be dug out without too much trouble during the demolition. The majority of that large Manitoba’s stump has been ground below grade. However, there’s still a portion of it remaining. But from the what I can see, that portion is actually falling directly on the property of the neighbour to the back or at the very least very close to the property line. And because whatever I build back there, I will have to setback from the property line by as much as 0.6 m, I will just leave it as is right now.
And if we just look at the site where the Manitoba maple was. This is what it looks like back in February 2013 where when the tree is still in the process of being removed.
And this is what it looks like now. The huge pile of wood chips is all that’s remaining of that big dangerous hollow tree. That roll of metal fence lying down on the left side was the fence part that was actually grown into the tree which caused a significant delay for the tree removal process.
