Framing day 4

Today more deliveries from RONA, dropping off materials for the second sub floor.

The crew worked on the first floor walls and started to work on the 2nd sub floor. However, ran into a bit of problem. The LVL beams that RONA sent over was of the wrong size. Since all my floor joists are 14″, the LVL beams should also been 14″ size. However, we got 4x 18′ long 12″ LVL beams. And the framer only realized it after they notched the beam. Now I will have to wait for the correct delivery on Saturday and return those beams back to RONA on Monday as 16′ beams.

Here’s time-lapsed video of the day. Doesn’t look like a lot has happened, but the second sub floor’s nailers are attached and the framer have tested the joist hangers and everything does seems to work out.
