EIFS installation day 9

Day 9 of EIFS installation. Today the weather forecast calls for thunderstorm in the afternoon. The crew did finish base coating the entire house. They also added a second layer of mesh on all the surfaces where it is accessible by foot traffic. I wanted to have a second layer of mesh installed to increase the impact resistance of the surface. Here below you can see multiple layers of mesh besides the 3rd floor windows.

But then the sudden thunderstorm came. So they had to put tarp up around the walls to minimize damage to their work.

By 7:30pm, the storm passed. Doesn’t see much damage on the 3rd floor, maybe that’s the first thing they finished today and so the coat has cured a bit already.

But there are definitely damage on the walls from the rain.

There’s still more rain forecast overnight. It will have to be at least tomorrow for one to know how much repair work there has to be.
