Today the contractor from OJCR Construction Ltd came to fill whatever remain from the trenches they dug up yesterday with asphalt.

Here they are spreading the asphalt into the trenches.

They rake the surface even.

And compact the asphalt. They started around 2:30 and done by 3pm. And that’s what $12,000 brought me.

And here’s what I ended with – two ugly patch of asphalt. And a deep pit filled with concrete. Well at least that section is going to be just a concrete driveway later so I’m okay with it.

Now I can only hope city has road works around here soon, then they will come here and fix up these ugly sidewalk patches with real concrete.
