Today the windows is being installed. The windows are all dual pane low-e PVC windows painted black inside and outside. With the PVC window painted black inside out, it almost look like they are aluminum frames. The windows are 4mm glass, with 11/16″ air space argon filled. They are all custom ordered since the sizes are designed specifically for the room and the placement of the windows.
Here are some of the clerestory windows that will provide light but maintain privacy on my south side. The only vertical oriented window here is my 2nd floor bathroom window.
This is the window to the first floor bathroom. Same size as the 2nd floor bathroom.
This is the inside view. Pewter X Drive hardware for these casement windows to give it a bit contrast against the black frame.
This opening somehow ended up with the wrong size. So the installer have to correct the opening.
More windows waiting to be installed.
The installer didn’t get enough people on site today. Just two of them is not able to move those large windows I have. So they will continue tomorrow with more workers.
