Day 5 of EIFS installation. The crew worked on getting the rest of the panels installed. By middle of the day, part of the front of the house that is EIFS cladded is all covered.
And the the 3rd floor is also covered with the foam boards.
You can see that typar is also laid down here to prevent the blue shield from getting onto the roof membrane.
For the north wall, the panels used are different. The north wall needs to be a non-combustible wall. Therefore Roxul RockBoard is used instead of the typical EPS boards.
Here’s the north-east corner where you see the white EPS panels on the east wall joins with the Roxul RockBoard on the north wall.
By the end of the day, the entire north wall is covered with Roxul and ready to move to the next stage.
Tomorrow weather forecast calls for rain. So we’ll have to wait for the Sunny day to come for the crew to start shaving the boards to give a flat, smooth surface.
