Batt insulation day 3

More batt installation with my cousin today. Still working on north wall of the 2nd floor as well as the ceiling of the 2nd floor.

Here’s the north wall around the stair opening completed.

The north wall on the west side completed.

Down in the 1st floor, got a few piece of Roxul ComfortBoard in as well. Had to cut around the pipes and it’s making the slow process even slower.

This is the ceiling area. These are 14″ joists. So with about 4.5″ of spray foam, we are left with around 9″ of space. We are filing it with Roxul ComfortBatt R14 which is 3.5″ and R22 which is 5.5″. This will create a ceiling with an R value of R67.

At the end of the day, the bedroom is almost completed. We even started on the south wall a little bit, just filling in a few easy pieces.
